English Environment

The Japanese national curriculum for kindergartens, upon which Kure Chuo Kindergarten's curriculum is based, does not include learning a foreign language.  However, Kure Chuo Kindergarten strives to include English language interaction as much as possible because it believes there are numerous benefits to learning a second language during early childhood.  To achieve this, Kure Chuo Kindergarten has adopted a partial immersion program by assigning one English teacher to each class as an assistant teacher.  The assistant teacher not only teaches English lessons, but also assists with regular childcare so that the children can be exposed to English in informal, natural environments.
